What PlanProof provides, what stays your responsibility, and the rules that keep the product honest for everyone.
Product scope
PlanProof provides proof-aware residential takeoffs from your blueprint files: material lists with per-line proof status, proof audits, review-required lines, excluded-scope reporting, and protected exports.
PlanProof does not claim, and you should not rely on it for:
- perfect takeoff from any PDF
- estimating that never needs human review
- guaranteed bid-safe estimating
- guaranteed code compliance
- guaranteed material order accuracy
Your responsibility
You remain responsible for reviewing flagged scope, excluded scope, stated assumptions, and bid-safety warnings before bidding, purchasing materials, or relying on any output for construction decisions. PlanProof’s outputs are decision-support artifacts, not guarantees.
Owner-builder tier rules
Owner-builder pricing is for personal, non-commercial use only. One discounted owner-builder pass may be allowed per verified household or project under product rules; repeated or business-like usage may require an upgrade to a builder tier.
Acceptable use
- no attempting to extract or reverse-engineer the measurement engine
- no reselling owner-builder outputs as commercial estimating services
- no uploading files you do not have the right to use
- no using the system to bypass supplier, payment, or entitlement restrictions
Exports and deliverables
Exports may include watermarks, run identifiers, timestamps, proof status, and review-required notices — the context that makes a number defensible travels with it.
Data and consent
Optional use of your corrections or benchmark feedback for learning requires your explicit consent under the learning-consent policy, revocable at any time. See the Privacy Policy for how your data is handled.
iPhone purchases
The iPhone app uses Apple In-App Purchase for all in-app billing; web checkout is not the purchase path on iPhone. Apple purchases create consumable project credits or active builder subscriptions depending on the product selected, and entitlements are granted only after server-side transaction verification. Subscriptions renew monthly until canceled in your Apple Account settings.
