Privacy Policy
How PlanProof handles your account, your uploaded plans, the artifacts we generate from them, and the choices that stay yours.
Summary
PlanProof reads residential blueprint files and produces proof-carrying takeoffs. Uploaded plans and every generated artifact are processed and stored server-side in private, access-controlled storage — analysis never runs in your browser, and your files are never shared or made public.
Information we collect
- account information: name, email, company name, and account role
- project information: project name, customer name, address, jurisdiction, and optional ZIP code
- uploaded residential plan files (PDF/DXF) and site scans
- generated takeoff artifacts: material lists, proof audits, review-required and excluded-scope reports, and export files
- entitlement and billing metadata (plan tier, usage counts)
- Apple In-App Purchase transaction and subscription metadata where purchases occur on iPhone
- owner-builder verification signals (phone confirmation, project address, billing signals) where applicable
- optional correction and benchmark feedback you choose to submit
How we use data
- to authenticate you and secure your account
- to store your uploaded plan files privately and run the measurement engine on our servers
- to deliver your results, exports, and review surfaces
- to enforce plan entitlements and owner-builder verification rules
- to verify Apple purchase evidence and reconcile restored or revoked iPhone purchases
- to improve product quality — only where your learning consent explicitly allows it
Location and pricing
Locally priced material lists may use your project ZIP code to estimate local supplier options. Exact GPS location is only ever collected with explicit consent where a feature needs it. PlanProof does not sell location data.
Learning and corrections
Your corrections and benchmark feedback are private by default. Nothing you submit enters any learning or evaluation workflow without your explicit consent, and you can revoke that consent at any time from your account page.
Data sharing and security
Uploaded plans and generated outputs are never exposed publicly: files live in private, access-controlled storage and are shared only through authenticated access or signed, expiring URLs that you create. Transport is TLS; storage is encrypted at rest; access is role-controlled and audit-logged; the measurement engine runs exclusively server-side.
Your rights
- correct your account information at any time
- revoke optional learning consent at any time
- delete your account and its data through the in-app account deletion flow
- request account closure, subject to legal and contractual retention obligations
